In the evening at the Hobart Town Hall, the Governor and Mr Warner attended a civic reception to mark the 150th anniversary of the Hobart Town Hall which was then followed by a performance of The Creation by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at the Federation Concert Hall.

Later, the Lieutenant Governor, accompanied by Mrs Blow, hosted a morning tea at which he formally announced the recipient of the Tasmanian Rhodes Scholarship for 2015.

In the afternoon, the Lieutenant Governor received Lieutenant Commander Brendan O’Hara RAN, Commanding Officer of HMAS Yarra, accompanied by Commander Stacey Porter, Commanding Officer, Navy Headquarters Tasmania.

In the evening, the Lieutenant Governor and Mrs Blow hosted the inaugural Annual Lecture of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (Tasmania), which was delivered by Professor the Honourable Gareth Evans.
