Nearly 200 guests attended the reception for the Higher Education Research Society of Australia.  They came from all parts of Australia and overseas.  Mrs Underwood introduced the members of the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra saying:

There are seventeen musicians aged between 12 and 22. They will be playing the 1st, 2nd and 4th movements of Holst's St Paul's Suite - for exactly 10 minutes.  Then they will then disappear downstairs, like court musicians of old, and enjoy sausage rolls and a drink, while we enjoy refreshments upstairs!
