In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received the Premier of Tasmania, the Honourable Will Hodgman.
Later, the Governor appointed and swore to office the Honourable Peter Gutwein as Premier of Tasmania; Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events; Minister for Trade; Minister for Advanced Manufacturing and Defence Industries; and Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence.
