In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received the Speaker and Clerk of the House of Assembly who presented a Supplementary Appropriation Bill for the Royal Assent.

Later, the Governor received the President and Clerk of the Legislative Council who presented Bills for the Royal Assent.

Later at Magra, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, delivered an address at an afternoon tea to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Country Women’s Association in Tasmania (Inc) Magra Branch.


In the evening at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Governor and Mr Warner attended the Royal Society of Tasmania lecture, Aboriginal language revitalisation:  celebrating the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages presented by Ms Annie Reynolds.
