Morning

In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, and Mr Warner hosted a visit by students and staff from Sa-nguan Ying School, Thailand, together with their hosts from Kingston High School.

Later, the Governor received the Premier of Tasmania, the Honourable Will Hodgman.

Afternoon

In the afternoon the Governor appointed and swore to office Mr Will Hodgman as Premier of Tasmania, Minister for Trade, Minister for Parks, Minister for Heritage; Mr Jeremy Rockliff as Deputy Premier, Minister for Education and Training, Minister for Infrastructure, Minister for Advanced Manufacturing and Defence Industries; Mr Peter Gutwein as Treasurer; Minister for State Growth, Minister for Local Government; Mr Michael Ferguson as Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Minister for Health, Minister for Science and Technology; Ms Elise Archer as Attorney-General, Minister for Justice, Minister for Corrections, Minister for Environment, Minister for the Arts; Ms Jacquie Petrusma as Minister for Disability Services and Community Development, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister for Women, Minister for Sport and Recreation; Mr Guy Barnett as Minister for Resources, Minister for Energy, Minister for Building and Construction, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs; Mr Roger Jaensch as Minister for Human Services, Minister for Housing, Minister for Planning; Ms Sarah Courtney as Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Minister for Racing.

Evening

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted a reception for members of the Foundation of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
