In the afternoon at Bicheno, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers met with members of the Here We Are dementia and social support group.

In the afternoon at Frogmore Creek, Cambridge, the Governor and Professor Chalmers attended a luncheon hosted by the Tasmania JackJumpers to mark the launch of Tasmania’s WNBL team, the Tasmania Jewels.
Later, the Governor and Professor Chalmers received the Consul-General of India, Dr Sushil Kumar, together with the Honorary Consul for India in Tasmania, Dr Navpreet Kaur.
In her ceremonial role, the Governor regularly receives courtesy calls from diplomatic representatives who are visiting Tasmania.
In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a visit by Year 6 students from St Virgil’s College Junior School.
In the evening at Bellerive Oval, the Governor and Professor Chalmers attended the Women’s Big Bash League cricket match between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Melbourne Stars.
Later at the Executive Building, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a visit by Class 6 students from Tarremah Steiner School.
In the afternoon at Don Heads, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, delivered an address at a ceremony to officially open a new watercraft launch platform hosted by the Tasmanian Canoe Club.
While in North West Tasmania, the Governor enjoyed the sunshine in Devonport at a new facility making it easier for locals to get involved in canoeing, kayaking and other aquatic activities.
In the morning at the Penguin Surf Lifesaving Club, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, presented recipients with National Medals at a ceremony hosted by the North-West Region of the Tasmania Fire Service.
The Governor serves as Patron of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Australia in Tasmania, a program that helps equip young people with essential life skills and fosters their creativity and innovation.
In the afternoon at Penguin, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, officiated at a tree planting ceremony hosted by the Central Coast Council to mark the sesquicentenary of the township of Penguin.
The Governor enjoys travelling to all corners of our State, visiting community groups and local businesses and meeting Tasmanians of all ages.
In the morning at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, delivered an address to open the 2025 Conference of the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH).
In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a ceremony for the Japanese Teachers’ Network Tasmania to present awards for the 2025 Tasmanian Japanese Speech Competition.
In the afternoon on board STV Windeward Bound at Waterman’s Dock, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, delivered an address and presented certificates to members of the crew completing the 2025 East Coast Youth Leadership Challenge.
Later, the Governor received the President and Clerk of the Legislative Council who presented Bills for the Royal Assent.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted the launch of ‘On the Record’, a student-led artwork inspired by the Commissioner for Children and Young People Tasmania and Terrapin’s project, ‘A Mountain of Voices’.
Today, Government House was filled with the voices of young people as the Governor hosted a special event to celebrate the ‘A Mountain of Voices’ project.
