In the afternoon at University of Tasmania Stadium, Launceston, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Caroline Wells, and Dr Rob Walters attended the 2026 AFL Premiership Season Round 17 match between Hawthorn and Melbourne as guests of Stadiums Tasmania.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Caroline Wells, and Dr Rob Walters received Associate Professor Andrew Turner, State Medical Director, and Ms Susan Towns, Nursing Director, of DonateLife Tasmania.

In the evening at the Long Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre, Salamanca Place, the Governor and Dr Walters attended the launch of the Festival of Voices 2026, followed by the ‘Big Sing’.

Later at the Federation Concert Hall, the Governor and Dr Walters attended a performance of ‘An Evening with David Campbell’ as part of the program of events of the Festival of Voices 2026.

In the afternoon at the Hobart Town Hall, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Caroline Wells, attended the 2026 Annual Lecture of the Hamilton Literary Society, followed by a civic reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Hobart, Councillor Anna Reynolds.

In the afternoon, the Governor received Mr Scott Kelleher, Director, Tasmania State Office, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Dr Rob Walters received Ms Steph Furler, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation.

In the morning in Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Caroline Wells, and Dr Rob Walters arrived alongside at Macquarie Wharf 4, on board HMAS Canberra as part of an at-sea experience hosted by the Commanding Officer, Captain David McPherson, Royal Australian Navy.

In the afternoon at Port Arthur, the Governor and Dr Walters boarded HMAS Canberra to undertake an at-sea experience hosted by the Commanding Officer, Captain David McPherson, Royal Australian Navy.
