In the morning, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers departed Government House upon the conclusion of Her Excellency’s term of office as the 29th Governor of Tasmania.

The Lieutenant Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Christopher Shanahan, assumed the administration of the Government of the State.
