On 5 December Her Excellency travelled to North-East Tasmania to undertake an official visit to the Dorset municipality. Accompanied by Professor Chalmers, Her Excellency visited schools, businesses and community facilities in Scottsdale, Branxholm, Bridport and Derby.

On 20 November 2025 Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, was pleased to undertake an official visit to King Island. She travelled around the island to visit local sites and meet residents of all ages.

The Rhodes Scholarship supports outstanding all-round students to study at the University of Oxford and aims to nurture public-spirited leaders for the future.
Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, today hosted a ceremony at Government House to dedicate a tree to former Premier of Tasmania, the Honourable Peter Gutwein.
Since 1985, it has been a tradition to plant commemorative trees at Government House to honour Premiers of Tasmania.
