In the evening, she was delighted to host the 2025 Tasmanian Palliative Care Awards at Government House, recognising the dedicated individuals, teams and organisations working in palliative care.

The Governor presented awards to professionals, volunteers and carers for outstanding achievement in the sector, and commended them on their exemplary care for Tasmanians with life-limiting illnesses.

She thanked the Awards’ judges, sponsors and partners, and commended everyone involved in palliative care for making a difference to their communities and to the lives of others.
