Ambassador of Colombia to Australia

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers received the Ambassador of Colombia, His Excellency Mr Diego Felipe Cadena Montenegro.

In her ceremonial role, the Governor regularly receives calls from Ambassadors, High Commissioners and other diplomatic representatives who are visiting Tasmania.

Her Excellency welcomed the Ambassador of Colombia to Australia at Government House.

His Excellency is making his first visit to Tasmania as Ambassador and has been in Hobart to attend meetings of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).

He discussed the 50 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and Colombia and also presented the Governor with a gift of coffee, which is Australia’s number one import from the country.
