In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a formal dinner in honour of the official visit to Tasmania by the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Her Excellency Mrs Ardi Stoios-Braken, and Mr Wayne Stoios.

In her ceremonial role, the Governor regularly hosts Ambassadors, High Commissioners and other diplomatic representatives at Government House.

The Governor was delighted to welcome the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Her Excellency Mrs Ardi Stoios-Braken, and her husband Mr Wayne Stoios, to stay.

The Ambassador has been in the State on an official visit, meeting Tasmanian officials, visiting scientific and educational institutions and touring local businesses.

As is tradition, the flag of the Netherlands was flown on the flagpoles on the Government House drive during the Ambassador's visit.
