Australian Army Cadets, Tasmania Battalion

In the morning at Youngtown Barracks, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, formally inspected and delivered an address as Reviewing Officer at the end of year parade hosted by Alpha Company, Australian Army Cadets, Tasmania Battalion.

In her ceremonial role, the Governor regularly meets members of Australia’s armed forces as she undertakes engagements around our State, as well as young Tasmanians who are part of cadet programs.

Her Excellency was pleased to serve as Reviewing Officer at the end of year parade for A Company, Tasmania Australian Army Cadets Battalion.

The Governor enjoyed meeting with the cadets at Youngtown Barracks in Launceston, where she gave an address and reviewed the parade.

She commended the cadets on their extensive community engagement throughout the year, including raising funds for Legacy and attending services across Tasmania on Anzac Day, and thanked staff and volunteers for their guidance and dedication.
