In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, received the Clerk of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor participated in an online meeting with the United States Consul General in Melbourne, Ms Kathleen Lively.

Evening

In the evening, the Governor and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a reception to mark the opening of the Hobart Writers Festival 2021, including presentation of the Emerging Tasmanian Aboriginal Writers Award, on behalf of TasWriters.
