In the evening at the Hobart Town Hall, the Governor and Professor Chalmers attended the Civic reception to mark the opening of the Antarctic Season 2025-26.

In the afternoon, the High Commissioner for Canada, Her Excellency Dr Julie Sunday, and Mr Mark McLaughlin arrived at Government House to stay.
