Howrah Primary School

In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a visit by Grade 5 students from Howrah Primary School.

Welcoming young people to Government House and helping them to learn more about our system of Government is always an enjoyable part of the Governor’s program.

She was therefore pleased to host two classes of Grade 5 students from Howrah Primary School this week and looks forward to welcoming another class for a visit next week.

The students had the chance to ask the Governor questions about her role, before enjoying a bite to eat and a tour of the State Rooms.
