In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception for the Council on the Ageing (COTA) Tasmania to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) and the WEAAD Walk events.

Later, the Governor received the President and Clerk of the Legislative Council who presented Bills for the Royal Assent.
