In the morning at Loorana, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers commenced an official visit to the municipality of King Island which included visits to King Island Dairy; King Island Gallery; King Island RSL Sub Branch; Country Women’s Association, Pegarah Branch; Phoenix Community House; King Island Men’s Shed; King Island Community Garden; King Island Childcare and Early Learning Centre; King Island District High School; King Island Museum; King Island Study Hub; G6 Metals, Dolphin Tungsten Mine; Currie Recreation Ground; King Island Hospital and Health Centre; and Netherby Home, prior to attending a civic reception hosted by the Deputy Mayor of King Island at the King Island Community Hub, Currie.
