Reconciliation Tasmania

Later, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a presentation ceremony for Reconciliation Tasmania to mark the State Final of the 2025 Youth Speak Out program.

The Governor always enjoys welcoming young people to Government House and was pleased to host students taking part in Reconciliation Tasmania’s 2025 Youth Speak Out.

The program encourages students to consider what reconciliation means to them and think about ways in which words, video, art and music can contribute to reconciliation in Tasmania.

Students from schools across the State presented their entries, which included poems, stories and artwork, before receiving a certificate from the Governor.

The Governor thanked the students for their thoughtful contributions and acknowledged their parents and teachers for supporting them in taking part.
