Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania

In the afternoon at RDA South, Glenorchy, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, delivered an address at the 50th Anniversary Open Day hosted by the Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania.

The Governor always enjoys checking in with her Patronage organisations around our State and joining them to celebrate their important occasions.

Her Excellency was delighted to attend the Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania’s special 50th anniversary Open Day at the RDA South centre in Glenorchy.

Since 1975, RDA Tasmania has provided opportunities for Tasmanians living with disability to experience the joy and freedom that comes from connecting with horses.

The Governor congratulated the association on its 50th anniversary and thanked the volunteers, coaches and supporters who have supported RDA Tasmania programs over the past half century.
