Lunch on the Lawns - Friday 21 March 2025

Government House

Join us for the final Lunch on the Lawns this season and spend an afternoon in the beautiful Government House gardens on Friday 21 March from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Pack a picnic, find a shady spot and enjoy music from the Australian Army Band Tasmania. Entry is free and all are welcome!

This initiative is part of the Governor’s important community engagement role, making Government House and its gardens more accessible to the public.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and drink, however in keeping with the family nature of the event alcohol is not permitted. Some seating will be available, but visitors are encouraged to bring rugs and camping chairs.

Unfortunately, pets are unable to attend, however service animals are welcome.

Parking is not available on site, however there is plenty of parking available in the nearby Domain area. Government House staff will also be on hand to facilitate access for those with mobility issues.
