In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers received Wing Commander Nicholas Fairweather, outgoing Commanding Officer, together with Wing Commander David Stary, incoming Commanding Officer, No 29 (City of Hobart) Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.
In the morning at Youngtown Barracks, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, formally inspected and delivered an address as Reviewing Officer at the end of year parade hosted by Alpha Company, Australian Army Cadets, Tasmania Battalion.
In the evening at Southern Presbyterian Church, Glenorchy, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, presented Queen’s Awards at a ceremony hosted by the Girls’ Brigade Tasmania.
On Saturday afternoon at St Mary’s Cathedral, Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended a concert performance of Fauré Requiem Op.48 in D minor and other works presented by the Hobart Orpheus Choir.
