In the evening at Macquarie Wharf 4, Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended an onboard reception on the occasion of the visit to Hobart by the German research icebreaker, RV Polarstern, hosted by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Her Excellency Ms Beate Grzeski, and the Director of the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar and Marine Research, Professor Dr Antje Boetius.
