In the afternoon, the High Commissioner for Canada, His Excellency Mr Mark Glauser, and Mrs Diane Glauser arrived at Government House to stay.

In the evening, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a formal dinner in honour of the official visit to Tasmania by the High Commissioner for Canada and Mrs Glauser.
