In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, presided at a Special Meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor presided at the swearing-in of the Honourable Guy Barnett as Minister for Environment and Climate Change; the Honourable Nick Duigan as Minister for Parks and Heritage; the Honourable Felix Ellis as Minister for Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy; and the Honourable Jane Howlett as Minister for Arts; Minister for Community and Multicultural Affairs; and Minister for Women and the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence.
