Lunch on the Lawns

In the morning in Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, participated in an interview with the Triple M Breakfast radio program.

Her Excellency was pleased to join Triple M Hobart’s Kaz and Tubes for a chat about Lunch on the Lawns, taking place at Government House this Friday.

We hope everyone can join us to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the gardens as well as some fun festive activities.

  • Enjoy music from the Derwent Valley Concert Band
  • See the Government House Christmas tree
  • Say hello to Santa

Pack a picnic and escape the Christmas rush in the beautiful Government House gardens – entry is free, and no bookings are required.

Gates will be open from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm this Friday 19 December 2025.
