Mentor Walks Hobart

Later at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted an afternoon tea to acknowledge the Tasmanian mentors who supported the 2025 Mentor Walks Hobart program.

In her community engagement role, the Governor regularly meets Tasmanians who take the time to support each other and help people to achieve their goals.

Today at Government House she hosted an afternoon tea for the Mentor Walks program, which connects experienced female leaders with those looking for career guidance.

To begin the event, the Governor made the most of the sunny summer weather and led guests on a walk around the Government House gardens, inspired by the regular ‘walk and talk’ events the group hosts in Hobart.

The Governor thanked the mentors who donated their time throughout the year to provide advice and support to Tasmanian women at all stages of their careers, and commended Mentor Walks on the initiative.
