Municipality of West Coast

On Sunday afternoon at Queenstown, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers commenced an official visit to the municipality of West Coast with a visit to the print workshop/arts centre, PressWEST Tasmania Inc.

On Monday morning at Queenstown, the Governor and Professor Chalmers continued their official program with visits to St Joseph’s Primary School, Zeehan Neighbourhood Centre, West Coast Heritage Centre, and West Coast District Hospital, prior to attending a Civic Reception at the West Coast Council Chambers which included the presentation of West Coast Spirit Awards.

On Tuesday morning at Horse Tail Falls, the Governor and Professor Chalmers continued their official visit to the municipality of West Coast with a visit to Mt Owen to view the newly opened Mountain Bike Trail network and West Coast scenery.
