National Youth Science Forum 2026

Later, the Governor and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a morning tea for Year 11 Tasmanian students selected to participate in the 2026 National Youth Science Forum.

In her community engagement role, the Governor always enjoys celebrating the achievements of young Tasmanians across all fields.

In this spirit, she was delighted to host a morning tea to congratulate Year 11 students from around the State who have been selected to take part in the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) in January.

The NYSF helps students from across the country broaden their understanding of study and career options within STEM, through residential programs held at the Australian National University and the University of Queensland.

The Governor congratulated the students on their selection and also acknowledged Rotary for its support in partnering with the NYSF and supporting students to attend.
