In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception for representatives of Probus clubs in Tasmania to mark the 50th anniversary of Probus in Australia.

In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a visit by Grade 2 students from Sandy Bay Infant School.
