Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania Inc

In the morning at Glenorchy, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, attended and presented awards at the RDA participant end-of-year party hosted by the Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania Inc.

As Patron of the Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania, the Governor has enjoyed joining with the organisation as it has celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.

Today, Her Excellency was delighted to attend the RDA Tasmania end of year party, where she presented medallions and certificates to program participants and congratulated volunteers for their dedicated service.

For the last 50 years, RDA Tasmania has been providing programs that enable Tasmanians of all ages living with disability or additional support needs to take part in equestrian activities.

Today's event provided an opportunity for participants to demonstrate the riding skills they have learned throughout the year, and for families, coaches, volunteers and supporters to celebrate RDA Tasmania’s work.
