Rotary Club of Sorell

In the afternoon, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted an afternoon tea to mark the 40th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Sorell.

The Governor regularly celebrates significant milestones and important occasions with community groups from right across our State at Government House.

The Governor commended Club members on their efforts to make a difference in the local community through a range of initiatives, in particular their programs focusing on young people such as the Neil Davis Awards and the Youth Driver Awareness Program.

She congratulated the Club on its ruby anniversary and wished members well for another 40 years and more of forging friendships and supporting the community.

Guests also enjoyed one of Professor Chalmers’ famous tours of the Government House State Rooms.
