Scouts Tasmania and Girl Guides Tasmania

In the afternoon at Mt Nelson Theatre, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended a performance of the 2025 Hobart Gang Show presented by Scouts Tasmania and Girl Guides Tasmania.

As Chief Scout and Patron of Girl Guides Tasmania, the Governor was pleased to attend a performance of the 2025 Hobart Gang Show.

Running since 1956, the Gang Show gives Scouts and Guides the opportunity to develop their performance skills, with young people involved in all aspects of the production including writing, directing, choreography, set design, costumes, lighting, music and performance.

This year’s production ‘Just in Time’ featured a cast of 43 young people aged 11-23 from Hobart and surrounding areas.

The Governor met with the cast and crew backstage and congratulated them on their hard work throughout the year to make the 2025 Hobart Gang Show a success.
