St David's Cathedral | 58th Annual Floral Festival, 'Blooming Church'

In the evening at St David’s Cathedral, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, delivered a reading at the Opening Festal Evensong for the 58th annual floral festival, Blooming Church.

This year St David’s is celebrating the 58th edition of the annual community floral festival, with displays from community groups focused on the theme ‘Tree of Life’, including another wonderful Government House display.

Included in the arrangement are kangaroo paw, sea holly, achillea, amaranth and branches from chestnut, pear and apple trees from the Government House gardens. Look closely and you will also see an array of birds hiding amongst the foliage.

The striking display has been put together by Government House florist Ineke Souris and gardener Bettina Elischer and can be seen at Blooming Church until Monday 9 February.
