Ten Lives (Hobart Cat Centre Inc)

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception to mark the 50th anniversary of Ten Lives (Hobart Cat Centre Inc).

In her community engagement role, the Governor serves as Patron of many organisations undertaking valuable work in our Tasmanian community, including the Ten Lives Cat Centre.

Her Excellency was delighted to welcome staff, volunteers and supporters to Government House for a reception to celebrate the Centre’s 50th anniversary.

As Patron, the Governor acknowledged Ten Lives’ dedicated team, which includes 450 volunteers who work as animal foster carers, at the shelter and in the organisation’s op shops, as well as community and business supporters for their generous contributions.

She also presented life membership certificates to volunteers Robyn Tacey and Tammy Eastley, commending them on their outstanding service to Ten Lives over many years.
