Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers AO would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable festive season.

“The festive season is a time of giving, receiving, and spending time with family and loved ones,” Her Excellency said.

“It is also a time to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in peace.

“May we remember that this time of year is not joyful for everyone, and our thoughts are with all those who are unable to enjoy the festive season.

“We thank everyone working within our community to care for their fellow Tasmanians and make their lives a little bit brighter during this period.”
