In the afternoon at the Hobart Cenotaph, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended the commemorative wreath laying ceremony to mark the 83rd anniversary of the Battle of Crete, followed by a reception at the Hellenic House, North Hobart.
Later at the Brighton Civic Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, presided as Chief Scout in Tasmania and presented awards at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Scouts Australia — Tasmanian Branch.
In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers received Ms Hanna Pappalardo, Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, together with Mr Christian Schultz and Mr Elvio Brianese, Honorary Consul for Italy in Tasmania.
In the morning at MyState Bank Arena, Glenorchy, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended the 2024 National Reconciliation Week Breakfast hosted by Reconciliation Tasmania.
In the afternoon in Hobart, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers visited and met with staff at the J W Whittle Palliative Care Unit, Specialist Palliative Care Service, Department of Health.
In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception to acknowledge Tasmanian mentors who support the Mentor Walks Hobart program.

In the afternoon at the Country Club Launceston, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, delivered an address to officially open the 48th Australian National Budgerigar Council National Show.
In the morning in Launceston, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, invested the Honourable Robin Gray as an Officer of the Order of Australia which was announced in the 2024 Australia Day Honours list.
Her Excellency the Governor and Professor Chalmers were hosted on an official visit to the City of Devonport by the Mayor of Devonport, Councillor Alison Jarman.
Later in Devonport, the Governor and Professor Chalmers met with Professor Emma Lee, National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth and Justice, Federation University.
In the afternoon at Eugenana, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers visited and viewed a commemorative tree planting to mark the 40th anniversary of the Tasmanian Arboretum.
In the morning, the Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Mr Kazuhiro Suzuki, and Madame Shiho Suzuki departed Government House.
In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers received Mr Steve Old, Chair of the Board, and Ms Christine Finnegan, Chief Executive Officer, of the Tasmania JackJumpers.
The Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a formal dinner in honour of the official visit to Tasmania by the Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Mr Kazuhiro Suzuki, and Madame Shiho Suzuki.
Later at the Executive Building, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening at Anglesea Barracks, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended a dinner with members of the Anglesea Barracks Officers’ Mess.
In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted the presentation of the 2024 Queen’s Scout Awards and Queen’s Guide Awards on behalf of Scouts Tasmania and Girl Guides Tasmania.
