In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, was represented by her Official Secretary, Colonel David Hughes, at a morning tea to mark the launch of SEED Futures.
In the evening at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended a reception for Vice-Regal representatives hosted by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn, and her Official Secretary, Mr Gerard Martin.
In the morning at the Flinders Island Showground, Whitemark, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, attended and delivered an address to officially open the 2024 Flinders Island Show.
Her Excellency and Professor Chalmers were hosted on an official visit to the municipality of Flinders by the Mayor of Flinders, Councillor Rachel Summers.

Later at Cambridge, Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers attended the presentation of Tasmania Fire Service Long Service Medals, which was then followed by a tour of the TFS Cambridge Training Facility and Museum.
In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, appointed and swore to office the Honourable Jeremy Rockliff as Treasurer; and Minister for Small Business and Consumer Affairs; and the Honourable Guy Barnett as Deputy Premier of Tasmania.
In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception to acknowledge the volunteers and supporters of the Tasmanian Bike Collective Incorporated.
