Ambassador of Vietnam to Australia

In her ceremonial role, the Governor receives calls from Ambassadors, High Commissioners and other consular and diplomatic officials when they are visiting Hobart.

This afternoon she received His Excellency Mr Pham Hung Tam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Australia, and an accompanying delegation at Government House.

The Governor and Professor Chalmers enjoyed afternoon tea with His Excellency and the delegation in the Government House conservatory as they heard more about the relationship between Tasmania and Vietnam.

These calls are an important part of the Governor’s ceremonial role and help to promote Tasmania and foster goodwill and friendly relationships with other nations.
