In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, received the Speaker and Clerk of the House of Assembly who presented Supply Bills for the Royal Assent.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a luncheon in support of Beacon Foundation, featuring a panel discussion with students, educators and employers, to mark the Birthday of His Majesty The King.
