Commonwealth Day is an annual celebration observed across the 56 member countries of the Commonwealth which takes place on the second Monday in March each year. His Majesty King Charles III has released a message to all Commonwealth nations to mark Commonwealth Day 2026.

On Friday 6 March 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, hosted an International Women’s Day fundraising luncheon at Government House to support Tasmanian women with gynaecological cancer. More than 100 people attended the event, with all proceeds going to the Rotary Tasmania Gynaecological Cancer Project.
