Rural Youth Tasmania | 2026 Agfest Field Days

In the morning at Quercus Park, Carrick, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, delivered an address to officially open the 2026 Agfest Agricultural Field Days hosted by the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania Inc.

Today, the Governor was delighted to be in the north of Tasmania to officially open the 2026 Agfest Field Days, Tasmania.

As Patron of Rural Youth Tasmania, she congratulated the dedicated young rural leaders who stage Agfest each year, helping to showcase the vital role agriculture plays in Tasmania’s economy.

The Governor also thanked Agfest’s sponsors, exhibitors and patrons for their continued support of the event, which has grown from its beginnings in 1983 to become one of the top field days in Australia.

Agfest continues until Saturday at Quercus Park in Carrick.
