In the evening, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a reception to welcome Young Leadership Dialogue delegates visiting Hobart with the Australian American Leadership Dialogue.

In her community engagement role, the Governor often hosts delegates at Government House who are attending national and international conferences and meetings in Tasmania.

This evening she welcomed leaders from the Australian American Leadership Dialogue’s (AALD) Young Leadership Dialogue, who are visiting Hobart prior to the AALD 2025 Forum in Adelaide next week.

During their time in Tasmania the emerging leaders from Australia and the US are visiting local attractions including the Salamanca Market, Cascade Brewery and Port Arthur Historic Site, and engaging with the Antarctic, defence and arts sectors.

Speaking to guests, the Governor said she was pleased that they would be exploring the diversity and richness of Tasmania and its history and creativity, and wished them well for their visit.
