Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, today hosted a ceremony at Government House to dedicate a tree to former Premier of Tasmania, the Honourable Peter Gutwein.
Since 1985, it has been a tradition to plant commemorative trees at Government House to honour Premiers of Tasmania.
Visitors to Government House may notice some changes to access from mid August until the end of September due to roadworks related to the Selfs Point Sewer Transformation Project.
The southern end of Lower Domain Road will be closed between Carriage Drive and Government House as TasWater installs a section of sewer pipeline as part of this upgrade.
