In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Mr Andrew Hawkey, Electoral Commissioner, Tasmania Electoral Commission, in relation to writs for the elections for the Legislative Council divisions of Huon and Rosevears.

In her important constitutional role, the Governor facilitates the work of the Parliament and issues the writs – or commands – for Parliamentary elections held in Tasmania.
